Pasting apostrophes

This is a just a minor annoyance, but I thought I might draw attention to it. I can imagine why it might have been an intentional choice.

When you type an apostrophe in Clozemaster, it is a “dumb” apostrophe (straight, not curled).

Most other apps and sites–Google apps, etc.–use “smart” apostrophes by default (curled, not straight). This means when you paste anything from those apps into Clozemaster, you have to go through and change all the apostrophes. Again, not a huge inconvenience. But I wonder if there is some workaround to this?

It is possible that “smart” apostrophes are only the default when one uses Google, etc. from the U.S. or Anglophone countries. Perhaps the “dumb” apostrophes are preferable because they are more universal. . .

This has come up at least a couple of times before. In these cases @alanf_us suggested accepting both forms of apostrophe (and stated that this should be possible as demonstrated by a previous request which allowed for either ë or e to be accepted in Russian).

In the more recent of these threads @mike made a change to existing collections so that they all used the non-curly form, and added that long term they aimed to accept both forms of apostrophe.

It would be nice to know if @mike has an update on this long-term goal of accepting both forms of apostrophe.
