I recently had problems with the accent here. Our Italianduo.boards.net madrelingua explained it as: pren-dé-te-ve-lo and that words like this (thankfully very few;-) are called “bisdrucciola”, (generalmente un imperativo 2pl.seguito da due pronomi. Es: mangiàtevelo, portàtecela ecc).
