This has been popping up regularly on my Favourites since way back when, and improvvisamente the “non vorresti fosse fatto” now seems far less daunting. Repetition and discussion certainly show what can be achieved here.

It is also on my “best of” list, but it still is daunting (like a lot of sayings)

Btw, in contrast to Italian and English, in German it rhymes:
“Was Du nicht willst, das man Dir tu,
das füg’ auch keinem and’ren zu.”
