Integrate new dynamic review times (90/180/360) also in web application
In the last months there was a very useful app feature launched: while reviewing, you now can decide whether you want to see a mastered sentence within the next 90 days, 180 days or 360 days. This is extremely helpful but unfortunately missing in the web application. Please roll this also out for the web front end.
I’d like to see better variety of sentences in the Dutch collections. It would be especially helpful to see more sentences with the pronouns “zij” (singular") and “haar.” We have seen more than enough of Tom
A new suggestion (compromise?) regarding streak freeze since the CM team seems dead against or at least hesitant about the idea of streak freeze:
How about a challenge to get the streak back? Such as “achieve xy day streak to get your streak back” or “Do xyz number of sentences in a day (or for three days straight) to get your streak back” just to name some examples. There could be a few of these challenges on a rotating basis, and this opportunity would only be available for a small window after losing your streak (1-3 days).
Kind of like penance for committing the sin of missing your daily CM ritual
I had a user testing session coordinated by @mike back in February 2024. According to the UX designer the real challenge seems to be to define what a streak actually is. This comes into place when a user is playing in different languages simultaneously.
Nonetheless: there is a now AI infested market leader and benchmark that solve this problem years maybe literally decades ago. Sometimes copy and paste helps.
Love the site and have done so for years. One thing I’d like to see equalized is the option to play 30 sentences. This is possible on the website but not on the mobile app. Furthermore, when you play 20 on the phone because there is no 30 option, it also gets reset to 20 on the website. Small hindrance, but should be very easy to fix I’d guess. Thanks in advance.
It would be good to have the choice of bi-directional language display, in the normal, given learning journey.
So, I see the sentence only in my own language first, so that I can try to translate it (fully!) in my mind into the new language, then I hear the sentence in the new language - so I can have a first, check; and only then I see the whole sentence in the new language.
An option to optionally toggle each sentence with a button in three basic tenses (past, present and future) to see the changes that happen.
It would immediately triple the possible learning (but only on demand) for each sentence.
If all of the users were to provide the additional tenses for a couple of hundred sentences, as a collective effort and contribution, this could be done!
Still longing for the pleasure of using Landscape with a sensible pop up keyboard. The constant swivelling to Portrait has already worn out my latest EasyAcc cover; -/
I would love a ‘production’ mode. Something similar to speaking mode, but in this case the sentance is shown in your native language (text only perhaps) and then you have to produce the language correctly in your target language using voice recognition.
It’s a shame that radio mode (hands-free mode) isn’t available on the web. I don’t really understand why you can’t simply listen to and repeat sentences like you can in Clozemaste mobile apps. I don’t think it would be that difficult to implement.
Or am I missing something?
I made a separate post about this but I would really like to see a French to Esperanto language pairing if possible. Also, if audios were available on the Esperanto language pairings, that would be pretty cool. There are actually quite a few Esperanto sentences on Tatoeba with audio if that helps
I’m studying Eng > Spa pair and currently there are this amount of words saved as favorite:
Fast Track Level 8 = 214
Fast Track Level 9 = 366
Fast Track Level 10 = 328
The problem is my review setting is 0, 1, 10, 20, Never.
So, the vast majority of these words will never appear to me as review (because I’ve set ‘never’, of course). And I can only review them in ‘Favorite’ tab.
So, I’ve created a new collection called ‘Vocabulary Builder’ and I’d like to copy all of these favorite words to it. Is it possible to copy all of them at once? Or do I have to do it manually, one by one?
@mike Is it possible to define review settings differently depending on the collection?
There are collections (such as high-frequency words) that I don’t need to review very often, while others (like low-frequency ones) require more frequent review.
