I’ve been putting off venturing into Cloze Reading but have to say, after a miserable first attempt, I couldn’t wait to have another go. However, reading short (quite intellectual!) pieces is very different to reading an Italian novel, p.e I stumbled on the phrase “il lemma popolo …” and the translation gave me “the lemma people” … cosa?! Grazie in anticipo if anyone can explain “lemma” in simple terms. Anyway, Cloze Reading certainly gets a big 
from me.
