Playing a listening round, I get an error like when the network connection is interrupted. This is on desktop, so I don’t think any such thing happened. After that, space triggers sentence audio, so I can’t type space in the text area any longer, I have to copy paste it from somewhere else to go on. The control key works normally. Also, whenI press space, the audio plays, but I also get a dialog that says:
Oh no! There was an error with the audio
undefined undefined
Sorry about that. Please try again etc etc.
If I close the round things get back to normal. This is on mac, firefox 135.0.1 if it matters. Thanks.
This bug report from 4 months ago does not appear to have been acknowledged. On a separate thread (in Language Specific → Italian), @Macossay has now reported this issue as being particularly bad (unknown browser/app or operating system).
It would be helpful if @mike or someone from the Clozemaster team could acknowledge receipt of this bug report.
Sad to say, I think we’re no longer getting the same level of attention from @mike and the team as we were getting a few years back, be it on bug reports or feature requests. Only the occasional burst of activity now and then.
@zzcguns receipt acknowledged! Apologies for the delay.
Growing pains! We’re in the process of trying to get more people involved to help with bug reports like these, features, etc., and most of our attention lately has been on new content / getting the monthly collection votes going. We’ve also admittedly been focusing on bug reports submitted via the contact form and haven’t been checking the forum as much to your point. We’ll have to update our flows to check the Bug Report section in the forum, or just add a notification in the forum to direct people to submit via the contact form.
Good to know you check bug reports via the contact form more frequently than the forums.
What other information to you need for the space issue with transcribing of the related threads if you still need some?
Just for clarification, this happens with every sentence and not only some.
Thanks for the follow up! You mentioned Firefox on Windows 11 right, and Italian from German - which collection? That it’s happening every sentence is a bummer, sorry for the trouble, but also helpful to know.
Yes, correct.
So far I’ve been doing the 100 Most Common and 500 Most Common collections. I’d assume it will be on others, too, but those are the only two I’ve played so far.
This does not happen in Italian from English for the same collections.
