English Translation
I felt the house shaking terribly.
Isn’t the a redundant when speaking about an object?

That sentence doesn’t sound natural at all, I’m a native spanish speaker and I would say “Sentí cómo la casa se sacudía terriblemente”. It’s not that it’s a gramatically incorrect phrase, it just doesn’t sound right.
Anyhow about the “a” question, I’m no linguist, but you need it depending on the verb.
For example, “Comí a la tarta” is wrong; the correct form would be “Comí la tarta”.
But “Fui la casa” is wrong, and the correct sentence would be “Fui a la casa”.
Thanks, that’s good to know.
