Would you say that this means “hey” or “hello” ? I’m not sure how i would know whether it’s a greeting or kind of interjection. It’s not massively important but I find lyrics are a good way of expanding my knowledge, while listening to great music.
That said, I think it’s “Hello”. Or they just needed something short to fit the rhythm. BTW, English “hey” is often translated as “hallå”.
