I just rediscovered cloze-reading due to the fact that it’s more prominent and easier to find with the new layout. I think it’s a pretty useful feature. However, I wonder why, after the cloze in a line is filled in, a gray background, which only makes the text harder to read:
If you look at the text outside the box, where no gray background has been added, you can see how much easier it is to read.
My guess is that the background is added in order to make it easier to see which clozes still remain, but it’s easy enough to determine this by looking for the blanks.
