doesn’t belong in the ser/estar test - sed = thirst, noun, probably vocab would be a better place

Yes. Here clozemaster doesn’t differentiate words with double meaning. Sed “Verbo Ser, Imperativo (vosotros)” but as you said this can also mean thirst, Since the process is automatic Clozemaster cannot differentiate between which words Sed is with one meaning or another. And like that with some other words.
