Since this is future tense, shouldn’t the answer be ‘llamare?’ very confusing to me.

You can use present tense in Spanish for events in the near future, if the context makes it clear, as in this case. But you can certainly use “llamaré” here; at Tatoeba there is even a parallel translation using that form.
