Is there a difference between alguna parte and algun lugar?

“Algún lugar” is often used when referring to a more specific or defined location. For instance, you might say “Vamos a encontrar algún lugar para comer” which translates to “Let’s find some place to eat”.
On the other hand, “alguna parte” can be used in a more general sense. For instance, “Está en alguna parte” translates to “It’s somewhere”, as in, it could be anywhere, not necessarily a defined location.
In most contexts though, “algún lugar” and “alguna parte” can be used interchangeably without significantly altering the meaning of the sentence.
