Sprillans ny dokumentär ute nu!

The exalted Mr Gessle tweeted this sentence, above… While SAOL has “sprillans” being an Adverb meaning “brand new” - all other sources (Google, folkets lexicon, myMemory, ne.ord.se etc.) have no clue what it means. Is this a fairly new word?

I think so. It might be a variant of “splitter ny”.
