That is correct…in modern Spanish.
From what I can gather, at some point in the history of Spanish orthography it was decided that one should write single syllable words and various other short conjugations and nouns sin tilde if there was no confusion. Words like fué and fuí became fue and fui…dió to dio…etc. But obviously you couldn’t change sé to se without confusion, for example.
So it could be a typo, or it could be a really old sentence.
