Does hacerla refer to una cosa? I expected hacerlo.
The objects of saber and hacer are the same, so the referent of ‘la’ can’t be ‘cosa’. There could be something in the context, but we don’t have that, so I’d translate ‘lo’ for sure, or nothing at all: "saber es… hacer es…’.
