Round history: Clicking the "Manage sentence" button should not scroll back to top

I use the website. A feature I use often is the round history.

Let’s say that after playing halfway through the round, I have second thoughts about some of the sentences I answered thus far. Let’s say there are multiple sentences that I want to edit: to some I might want to add a note, to another I might want to add a hint, others I might want to reset to 0%. Let’s say these were sentences 43, 44, and 45 in the current round.

So I scroll down in the round history until I see sentence 43. But as soon as I click the “Manage sentence” button, I am transported back all the way to the top of the list, to sentence 1. If I want to edit sentence 44, I have to scroll all the way down again. And another time to edit sentence 45. I would like if clicking the button wouldn’t take me all the way to the top again because this means endless scrolling.

Also, since I use that feature so often, I would prefer if I didn’t need two clicks. I dislike that the history is hidden behind the “three dots” button since the last UI revamp. Previously that feature wasn’t stuck away and I could access it with just one click. I use that feature a lot, so this is something that annoys me daily.

And while I’m at it, if I can add another wish: I would like if I could use the round history to change the progress of individual sentences to 25%, 50% or 75%. Currently I can only reset a sentence to 0% by clicking the cross or master it by clicking the checkmark.

It often happens that I knew the correct answer to a 50% sentence but I accidentally pressed the wrong number key, which resets the sentence to 0% even though I knew the correct answer. I would like to then use the round history to change the sentence to 75%, but this is currently not possible. Because the search function isn’t great either, I also cannot search the sentence after the round is finished to correct its percentage that way. So due to a lack of opportunities to edit the sentence when I see it, I have to accept that the sentence is now a 0% sentence even though I knew the answer and that I’ll see it tomorrow which unnecessarily adds to my workload. And if I’m not very careful to remember on the following day to manually change the sentence to 75% immediately when I see it, I’ll miss again one of the very few opportunities to edit the sentence if I press the spacebar too soon.

Summary of my requests:

  • don’t scroll back to the top
  • don’t hide round history behind button
  • allow user to change “mastered” percentage from the round history

The round history is a feature I use a lot and I would be very happy if these three requests would be implemented. Thank you for your attention.

Additionally, I’ve never understood why the round history is sorted with the least recent item on top, as the most common use case is presumably to inspect the most recently played sentence.

Yes, the developers could add an icon like so. Of course it would toggle when you click it, I just didn’t want to make two images.
