My advice is to simply accept that you’ll sometimes fail formally on the first attempt, and add a Hint to guide you whenever you see this cloze again.

Thanks – I’m actually extremely new to this site and didn’t know about the Hint feature. I’ll look into making use of that. I’m used to other sites prompting you for formal/informal, singular/plural, etc. so flying blind like this is new to me.
