Pasamos un día fabuloso en el monte.

El Monte is neither the subjunctive, indicative or imperative but a noun. Do you use an automatic engine to compose sentences since it provides the verb ‘montar’ which looks like a good candidate for the subjunctive (montar → monta → monte). You have similar sentences proposing ‘reportar’ when you are actually asking for the noun ‘reporte’

All sentences and translations are taken from the Tatoeba website, https://tatoeba.org/. Your observation is most likely just a coincidence.

It is only now that I understand what you were actually getting at. You were doing a grammar challenge, weren’t you? I have noticed the same thing too, and not only in Spanish, that nouns that look like verb forms are mistaken for verbs. I think the algorithm would have to actually understand the language in order to avoid such mistakes.
