if you translate with " have" in the sentence it should read
parece que me perdido mis llaves… this should read it seems/appears that i lost my keys
The English sentence has a parallel translation on Tatoeba: “Me da la impresión de que he perdido las llaves.”, which uses the perfect tense. That was contributed by a Spaniard, and this one (using the preterite) by a Chilean. Maybe that reflects a regional difference.
