“We walked along a narrow path.”
I had expected “a lo largo de” for “along”. Can you extend the basic meaning of “through” like this?

I guess you can. Would you say We walked through a narrow path? A través y a lo largo have some similarities but they are not synonyms. Just like along and through.
It doesn’t sound right to me. But maybe if the path is so narrow that it resembles a pipe.
