I was wondering what the difference between “ahí” and “allí” might be. Both mean “there”. Apparently, the difference is: “ahí” is used when you can see the place that you mean by “there”. “allí” is used when the place you mean by “there” is out of sight or so far away that you can’t see it.

The Spanish sentence has an error: “que” should be “qué”; without the accent it’s a relative pronoun.
