This bug appeared today, just about an hour ago. It is no longer possible to click “Play” on a collection and choose the mode. It defaults to hands-free only with no other options. I have restarted the app, restarted the phone, and even uninstalled and reinstalled—and the problem persists. Android is effectively a no-go for this app, which, needless to say, is a huge problem. I use the Android version exclusively when on the go.
Being locked into hands-free only makes using the app impossible. There is no way to advance forward.
I’d recommend that you include the version (and the language / collection) in a post like this.
I’m not seeing this on Android version 3.15.1 which, as far as I can tell, is the most recent one.
More specifically I’m not seeing it in:
(a) Italian;
(b) For both built in collections, and ones that I have created;
(c) For both new and review options.
In all cases if I select either [Play] or [Review] I have the option of selecting either [Game] (which then gives me the set of Vocabulary, Listening and Speaking options) or [Hands-Free].
The only issue I have with the App is on the occasions when I hit the [Play] button, select the play mode, and then, and ONLY then, I get “NO MORE SENTENCES LEFT TO PLAY!”. That is a dialog that always gives me the screaming irrits because if there are No! More! Sentences! To! Play! then why is the [Play] button enabled in the first place? (It mercifully isn’t in the web which is where I live most of the time. And hey, at least the app doesn’t have the annoying crying pickachu animation.) But still, there are far worse things in heaven and earth than that.
So, I don’t think it’s the app. Whether it’s an issue with a specific language or collection is a different issue, and one which is worth investigating.
