Why is “me” used in this sentence?
Here, I believe me is being used to emphasise the act of eating, for example:
se lo comió de un bocado - he gulped it down in one go
Your not just eating the apple, your really enjoying eating the apple. Or perhaps you’re ravenous and just shovel it down your gullet.
