Would “continuaron” be out of order here? :thinking:

It’s not out of order, however:

Continuaron
they started making noise <-------------------------------------> they stopped making noise ------------- (me)

Continuaban
they started making noise <-----------(me)--------------------> they stopped making noise

Or, with continuaban: they just kept making noise, as if they didn’t hear me; continuaron: they stopped briefly as I told them off and then they went on again.
