Tom and Mary are the fictional protagonists of a huge number of sentences on Tatoeba, the source of most sentences on Clozemaster.
That may be the case, I wouldn’t know. But there’s no indication in the Spanish sentence that it is referring to any particular individuals, fictional or not.
The actual translation should be ‘They fight more and more’ or ‘They are fighting more and more’.
