This is a difficult sentence to grasp grammatically for English speakers as it does not map well onto English sentence structure the way something like “Necesito pan y voy a comparlo al supermercado ahora” would.

I’ve never seen this pattern before. I would have translated the English as “Lo harás, te guste o no.”

Hmm those structures look near identical to me:

Lo harás / tanto si / te gusta / como si / no
You will do it / whether / you like it / or / not
