I wonder why the order of night and day is different in the two sentences.
FWIW, Google Ngrams has “día ni de noche” as more frequent (one can only compare phrases of up to four words).

It’s true that there are expressions of this form that have a somewhat rigid order (tú y yo, blanco y negro, etc), but I don’t feel that here. I do feel that ‘día y noche’ is the more usual order. Maybe the order was chosen for, hmm, stylistic reasons; I doubt it, but the meter is exact…

I didn’t notice until now that the Spanish translation rhymes.
