I can play clozemaster very quickly and efficiently only with the keyboard, except for the occasional “ai explanation”. I would really like a keyboard shortcut (e.g. alt+h) to open the ai explanation during play (I usually do listening with full transcribe) after I answered a question. Extra points if when the ai popup opens, it’s automatically focused in a way, that pgup+pgdn just works, that would be awesome.
I only read the ai explanations very occasionally, but it’s kind sad, that I have to reach for the mouse for that…
The shortcut list under “Help” has a shortcut for this as Shift + Alt + X
I think I’ve used it before, but now I’m questioning whether it’s been there for a long time, or if it was only added in the last 6 hours since you made your post (I usually use keyboard shortcuts extensively, but for this feature I always grab the mouse for some reason).
P.S. This isn’t really a bug report as much as a feature request, but the Clozemaster team would read these categories in either case.
Thank you so much for your kind response. You are right about the shortcut, it works.
What confused me really, is that all the other shortcuts are documented in-place as tooltips, so one can very naturally learn them: hover with the mouse, wait, and learn it.
Even quite special buttons, e.g. “add to collection” has in-line hover tooltip help that shows that the keyboard shortcut is alt+a.
The only exceptions are the two big buttons, Explain and Next. Enter is quite natural for next, and I think everybody can figure that out, but I definitely wouldn’t discover alt+shift+x just on the gaming UI.
And yeah, it was stupid of me, that I didn’t check the help button, but my brain somehow just assumed, that if for all buttons there is a documented tooltip, but not for explain, then it’s just not there yet.
My recommendation would be to add this tooltip, but for now, I’m of course completely happy with your help, and I will simply remember alt+shift+x.
