Keyboard pop up still not fixed for Landscape mode in app for Hard mode etc. It was perfect before …!

To be sure - do you mean
- The keyboard opens, the controls are on top, and the controls cover what you want to see in landscape?
- Or the keyboard opens and covers the controls, and you have to close the keyboard to tap “Submit” for example?
Hi, working on Samsung Galaxy tab Android.
No.2 is about right, kb covers just abou everything so tap kb off to reveal all, but soon as I try to tap in answer kb pops up again. So am reverting to Easy mode for everything (where all percentages and info appear after entering the answer). Have checked all my settings, no probs. Tks for asking, am very patient; -)
@mike The Hard and Easy modes seem to be combined in Landscape Hard/Text mode where the Easy mode symbol sits on the Submit band.
For anyone interested, I also resorted to downloading an older version, as the new design choices don’t seem to be going away for now. Real pity.
I’m really sad. As a big fan of ClozeM I just don’t understand how the new look helps anybody. Not a techy so don’t know how to get the happy homepage back.
I used an alternative app store called apkpure. You need to manually install from their website (with some warnings about installing from other sources), and then within it you can find clozemaster and there’s a small option for version history. I used one from last year and it’s good.
Oh, and then I had to untick auto update in the normal Google play store, otherwise it changes to the new version again in the background.
Thanks. A bit beyond me though, so l’ll just have to hope that one glorious fine day Landscape Hard Mode etc will be returned to us, it’s part of what I was happy to pay for.
@mike Hi again, the mystery continues - in app, Portrait has changed yet again now with the keyboard at the bottom and green Submit strip placed above keyboard midway down page. But Landscape still unusable with keyboard popping up to cover everything. Such a shame, it was just right a while back, can’t think why it had to be “improved”.
Ps. I forgot to say, Portrait is better now, far more workable.
@mike Hey, I really don’t want to be a whiner but Portrait now has one view superimposed over another, and pressing anything gives me a big red Wrong! So I now have to return to Landscape, wait for the darned popup kb and press multiple choice to get anywhere. You’ll probably say delete the app and reinstall but then I’ll probably lose my hard-earned streak. Any advice would be good. (Ps. Exactly the same on mobile)
The previous bugs seem to have been fixed but after that update another thing got broken - quite often it happens that the text field stops working - you can place a cursor in it but no keyboard input you type actually stays in there. You have to reload the session to make it work, sometimes a few times which is a bummer. Moreover, sometimes the session loads with quiz type despite typing mode being selected.
This is all such a shame, ClozeM was near perfect after “the other place”. However, must move on, must keep learning.
@Floria7 sorry for all the trouble! Might you be able to send a screen recording to support@clozemaster.com? I’m not sure I follow and want to make sure we’re working on and prioritizing the right issues. Also please note you won’t lose your streak by deleting the app, reinstalling it, and signing in with the same account.

Yes, same tech specs still. And regarding the bug I’ve noticed that this also occurs in multiple choice - today I’ve started a review session with multiple choice and infinite items but a multiple choice session of size 10 loaded instead. So it’s basically a multiple choice session of size 10 (I guess just the default one) loading on random no matter what session params you choose in both multiple choice and text input. I’m not 100% sure but I think this one happens once per app launch so after it happens and you reload the session then it’s ok until you close the app. Unlike the one regarding text field which occurs repeatedly.

Hi @Floria7 , you can’t roll back on the Play store, it doesn’t have an option to do that. You need an alternative app store like apkpure, you can just Google it. I rolled back to clozemaster 2.9.13
Many thanks. I think the size of the latest version is the problem, the Green Send Submit strips etc literally take over the page. I’m still OK with my streak tho, keep learning!
Why was the layout changed? It didn’t hurt anybody, why did you guys feel the need to modify it? My streak is gone, I absolutely hate playing the app now.
Please do something about the SUBMIT/NEXT button. That clock icon bothers me, I accidently touch it when trying to click NEXT. Likewise, I got used to touching the SUBMIT button with my left hand but now that space is occupied by two other icons.
When typing the answer I cannot see the box I am typing into…
When starting the game I get multiple choice selected even if I want to play Text input (which is preselected).
When changing something about a game take into account that muscle memory plays a huge role. The game is tedious now. Do something about it. This is not what I pay my subscription for.
Hi @GabriDae. Thank you so much for putting it so succinctly! So I’m not alone in my frustration that this change has changed everything. I’m a huge loyal fan of ClozeM but this really is spoiling the whole experience. The Team has tried to help, greatly appreciated, but I think they too have given up. It was the best, now unworkable for many of us. Anyway, must go, time to go to Easy Multi Choice and hope for the best! Best to you!
It was great, everything worked smoothly, it was a quiet and relaxing experience playing the app. Now… I get annoyed in the first few minutes and just give up.
I really hope the situation will be fixed, I don’t want to cancel the subscription.
