In Listening mode, offer option: half-speed audio (even for half the points)

In real life, if I don’t (fully) understand a sentence, it’s natural to ask the speaker to repeat it more slowly. I wish Clozemaster would let me do the same thing prior to filling in a cloze in Listening mode. Instead, the only place I can go from full-speed audio without translation is to full-speed audio with translation, which often makes filling in the cloze too easy. Half-speed audio is, as far as I can tell, only available after the guess has been submitted.

I’d even be willing to give up half the points for a sentence in order to be able to hear the audio at half speed.

Ideally, pre-submit half-speed would be available through a button as well as a keyboard shortcut, but as long as I’m in a bargaining mode, I’d settle for one or the other. However, I do wonder why there is no keyboard shortcut for half-speed audio in general.

Not a keyboard shortcut, but in the settings menu (once you’ve started playing) there is an option to adjust the default playback speed.

Thanks. That helps a lot, and in fact it allows me to choose 0.75x, which is better for me than 0.5x, which would be too slow. While it doesn’t give me the ability to start out with full speed and slow down from there, it’s a good stopgap measure.
