Stay away.
I thought “fuera” as an adverb means “out” but not “away”. Or, if “away”, only in the sense “out of town” but not in the sense “(stay) away from this hornet nest”.
How come this sentence is translated as “Stay away.”? I’d have thought “Get out of here.”
It can mean both “out” and “away” (as in, “at a distance”).
Strictly, “fuera de aquí” would mean “out of here” or “away from here” (lacking the prefix “a”), so it could, in an appropriate context, mean to stay away. For example, if said just before someone enters where the speaker is making his warning or command…
