Why is it “demasiado” and not “demasiada” since the noun it’s referring to(caja) is feminine?
Demasiado doesn’t refer to caja, but to pesada, so it’s an adverb, therefore invariable. For example, ‘demasiada humedad’ (adj+n) but ‘demasiado húmeda’ (adv+adj).
