Any idea as to why ‘pregunto’ is in present tense, even though the action takes place in the future??? Shouldn’t it then be ‘pregunare?’

mañana le preguntaré also.
But I don’t know why.

It’s a trait shared by many languages: if the action is obviously in the future (mañana), the future tense is not needed, especially in informal language.
