Seriously, don’t be a stranger.
Seriously, don’t be a stranger.I did a little reading on “no te cortes” and it seems like it’s more likely to mean, “don’t be shy” or “don’t hold back”. Or even literally, “Don’t cut yourself (with something sharp).” However, I did find a source saying that in Argentina they use it like the English phrase, “don’t be a stranger”, meaning something like “Let’s stay in contact (by phone, email, text, etc) even though we don’t see each other often”. Any thoughts from native speakers on how it is used in your region?
