could imprimido work here as well?
I went to the RAE to see impreso and imprimido. They say impreso is a noun, and don’t have any adjective definitions. But imprimido doesn’t get its own entry, since it’s the perfect participle of imprimir. That verb form can usually be used as an adjective (even if sometimes used as a noun), so at this point, it seems like imprimido’s the better choice. I’m a bit pressed for time right now, so I can’t see about any sentences from other sources to double-check. Possibly tomorrow, but Linguee’s a good place for searching sentences by word, if you want to take a crack at it.
According to my grammar book, imprimir is one of a few verbs having two participle forms, one regular and one irregular; the irregular form can only be used as an adjective. The example they give is despertar, where you say “estoy despierto” but “me he despertado”. That would indicate that impreso is the better choice here.
They also refer you to imprimir, where impreso is listed as an irregular participle.
Update: Google Ngrams doesn’t even recognize “está mal imprimido”:
