El accidente fue provocado por una cierta estrella de cine conduciendo ebria

“The accident was due to the drunken driving of a certain film star.”

Does the feminine form ebria imply that the film star was female, or does it simply refer to estrella? In other words, would you use ebrio if the star was male?

“Ebria” has to agree in gender with “estrella,” which is always feminine, even when talking about male actors.
