The Random Collection is simply a collection created from 20,000 sentences selected randomly when the collection was created. All your progress playing that collection will only appear in that collection.
Playing from all the Most Common Words collections at random means sentences are selected at random from the Most Common Words collections and your progress will appear in the collection that a given sentences belongs to. You might get one sentence from the 500 MCW collection and another from the 10,000 MCW collection in the same round, and when you’re done, you’ll see one new sentence played for the 500 MCW collection and one new sentence played for the 10,000 MCW collection on your dashboard.
The “>50,000 Most Common” collection is separate from the “Play sentences from all” button - apologies if that is confusing in the UI. Are you playing on the web or mobile app? We’ll try to make them more distinct features.
