Cannot activate pop-up for Cloze word on phone

Using the browser on my smartphone, I cannot activate the popup for the Cloze word, only for the other words in the sentence: one tap places the cursor inside the word and two taps activate the zoom. I also find that although I can select two or more consecutive words, I cannot bring up the popup for the entire selection: it only comes up for the word I click.

I wonder if yet another button is needed.

An update. This is now partially working: I can double-tap a cloze and activate the dialog. It’s a bit ugly, since the “cut, copy, paste, etc.” context menu also pops up, but it’s functional.

I still cannot select a sequence of words and bring up the dialog on the selection, though.
