It’s not being treated as a reflexive verb. ‘Me’ is a regular dative and the subject is something else, not ‘yo’. So it’s ‘le suena bien’, not ‘se suena bien’.
The previous comment was about the fact that it’s ‘suena’ and not the regular *‘sona’, but this isn’t related to your question as far I can see.
I would say sonar is a regular verb which employs the very common stressed o→ue transformation; it’s regular because it follows a completely predictable pattern. To my knowledge, the verbs that don’t have this transformation, such as tocar and enfocar, are in the minority.
That’s not what ‘regular verb’ means, as I’m sure you know.
