In the place where my daily total is compared to my goal, I’m listed as having 1168 points for the day, which seems correct. However, on the Russian/English leaderboard, I’m listed as having only 160 points, which would correspond only to the two rounds I played just now. It’s 8:49 p.m., Eastern United States time. Could it be that the list of points for the day uses a different starting and ending point from the start and end used for the points displayed on the leaderboard?

That is indeed the case - the weekly leaderboard uses the UTC time zone since it is used by everyone. Your points per day, however, uses your individual time zone (in your case Eastern).
