Some advice please …the English translation given by CM is ‘He was fired for stealing’. Can wyrzucić also be used in this context, as in ‘to dismiss someone from employment’? The only word I’ve seen for this on CM so far is ‘zwolnili’. Thanks!
Yes, “wyrzucić” (literally “to throw sb out”) can mean “to fire / sack somebody”. It’s a rather colloquial term, so you will probably not see it as often as “zwolnić”.
