I think it’s fine. “Let me know” is the accurate translation but “tell me” means basically the same thing. Interestingly, when I inputed “irgendetwas” in my dictionary, no result was found…It showed a ton of compound words beginning with ‘irgend’…but no ‘irgendetwas’.
