Vous êtes de jeunes garçons.

I believe the French should have “des” instead of “de”.

I think the sentence is correct, although it would be helpful to get an answer from a French native speaker. The adjective (i.e., ‘jeunes’) is the main point here.

I asked a fluent French speaker. He said that it’s typical to use “de” instead of “des” when the noun is modified with an adjective.
