Vise ce chien !

English Translation

Look at that dog.

Viser = aim, target. I think this should be Regarde

2. [colloquial) to stare
Synonym: Regarder

“Mater” is another verb that can be used with a similar meaning. (I think there was a question about it not too long ago).

I don’t think either is very common though.

Get a load of that dog!

I bought the Larousse dictionary app. It was more money than I have ever spent on an app ($12), but it is really good. Here is what it says about viser:
“très familier [regarder] to look at, to check out
dis donc, vise un peu la chemise ! wow, check out the shirt!“

So, according to Larousse, viser works here. It doesn’t help if it isn’t used much, though.

I’m hesitant to use wiktionary if I can’t find a corroborating source, but in this case it was spot-on. This entry in wikipedia does check out with TLFI as the reference. Eight months ago I probably was intimidated by the all French dictionary. Now I use Larousse and Le Petit Robert.
