Do you want a job?

This sounds a bit unnatural to me (not that I’m an expert). If arbete is usually used to mean work/employment and jobb is the noun for job…why would you not use jobb here? Just for my understanding of how to use the 2 different ways of talking about employment. Tack

Arbete and jobb can basically be used interchangeably, but jobb is more colloquial. In this context, I would assume ett jobb to be less dignified than ett arbete, maybe even a bit shady.
