It could just be your imagination.

I don’t see how the German works to get the English translation. What am I missing?

I try it as literally as possibile:

Vielleicht = Maybe
bilden Sie sich … ein = you imagine
das = it
einfach = simply
nur = only

Maybe you simply imagine it only (bad English)

Maybe it is just your imagination.

“sich einbilden” (to imagine something) I think is the stumbling block here. The separable verb prefixes can often make German sentences hard to parse.
