Is there any particular reason why “pojken” instead of “killen” would not be correct here?
“Kille” is colloquial for “pojke” (boy), but it can also be used for young men up to their early twenties. I rarely use “kille” myself, I tend to say “grabb”. So one is not more correct than the other.
