I’ve actually not ever heard or used “nudnik”, maybe because it came into English via Yiddish and Polish. Google Translate prefers the translation “pain in the ass” and DeepL suggests “a nuisance” (person). So I’ve learned both a new Italian and a new English word!

I’d never heard of “nudnik” till I too came across this phrase. “Rompiscatole” is such a fine word that sits so well with “a pain in the arse”:wink:
