The Japanese sentence is worse than literal translation. The Japanese sentence - sourced originally from notorious 田中コーパス- means “You must sleep as per the instruction of your bed-making”, which doesn’t make sense unless “you” as a metaphor refer to an inanimate bed pad or pillow. In other words, “you” as an object are involved in the bed-making process.
If “as” in the English sentence means “because”, the Japanese sentence should be 自分でベッドメイキングしたのだから、そこに寝るべきだ.
Note: 寝床 is an old-fashioned expression for Japanese traditional 布団. As Kanji 床 (floor) implies, 寝床 didn’t primarily refer to a bed with four legs (i.e. the mattress is not directly attached with the floor.) As for making a bed in a Western style, we loaned the English term ベッドメイキング.
