僕は濡れねずみになった。

English Translation

I got wet to the skin.

Literally, “I became a wet mouse”? An idiom, I suppose?

@cstuartroe
Yes, it’s an idiom. But 濡れネズミ has a connotation of “shabby” or “desperate” because a mouse represents a dirty creature.
It’s better to replace it with ずぶ濡れになった in a neutral way. You can find the difference of the two phrases here.
